A Winter’s Rest

by Deb Strafuss

Winter skyBeneath the sheets

and blankets warm

I sleep

Nestled and cocooned away

dreaming dreams of warmer days

the softening sheen of sun replays

a dazzled, colorful display

Yet in that soft deep warmness dwells

rest,

Snowy Mornjewel tones swell in nighted splendor

through my haze of sleep-drenched

melted soul

In this mystical place

I have no body

to anchor me

I dwell with stars

have no fear

waft on warm and billowed dreams

along the shores of whatever seems

View from the backI Am Become Awareness

creeping softly o’er

this inner universe

I Am

One with

Pillowed Rest
