It blows our way we hunker in and pray or it comes upon us as a predator with its prey unexpectedly wiping us away We are bereft and gone forlorn, without song we utter our despair lost in our way without care Yet earth is there to receive our prayer, when storms have past we are still here A newness felt, built upon the past what was, and is no more becomes the portal, a new door to move with ease and find our peace. In this new place of space we cast our lines and toil again to climb the mountain’s peaks and valleys sublime, Exploring new ground building new hopes, home for our souls to grow new paths yet to know We go propelled by wisdom’s storm dislodged from former forms We flow into new being new grace new knowing new going Upon this living, breathing earth Storm brings us new birth

Poetic Posts for Nurturing the Soul
Fresh each day…inspiration comes
Just wake up, and feel the sun
We rise and fall with all life’s rhythms, for us new life is just a given
So once more round the bend, new life, hope, love – a bit of heaven
Lift your head, your eyes, your heart;
And with this mind, make your new start….
Flight
1.
Sunshadow
earth folding
spirit molding
into shine
2.
Light passes into light
Sunfire heat shines bright
thoughts and souls ignite
3.
Oh! to soar a little higher
still
see earth curve
beneath the till
of time
and unwind.
Rivers
1.
I see a snake upon the ground
winding like a river round
careless tossed
bracelet lost
upon the landscape
an embrace
2.
Like a horseshoe
two rivers joined
creating confluence
in the mind.
Mountains
Earth folds
like some soft mask
made of time
telling stories
of its memories
Horizon
Somebody painted this
in their dream
soft colors
muted scenes
stretching to the unseen
Airplane
We are still glowing
upon the ground
Our going in the clouds
is found.
Oh Ho!
March laughs
again
and grasps
one winter’s last left straw
to throw its chilly winds abroad
and freeze our soul’s deep sod
The tender shoots of spring begun
are stilled upon their vines
The frozen trees stand watch over these
wizened by their time
They had not yet entwined their hopeful foliage here
but wait, solemn sentinels,
for April’s all clear
Written March of 2012 during a “Spring Frost”
For Ingrid & Laura
Delicate dewdrops
Fragrance and flowers
Peaceful the stillness
Of cherished hours
Spent in the bonds
Of friendship’s love
Storied by shared lives.
Two intertwined in time
Exploring the here and divine
Holding hands
Through every thoroughfare
Through every storm they have dared
To love and respect and care
For the treasure of being there
For each other.
Two friends
Forever bound
With love the cord that holds
Beyond the widening gulf of pain
That will this pathway end.
There is a beginning again
When one has a treasured friend.
Summer Dreams
I wish a poet laureate to be
with some sweet form of melody
ringing from the heart unstressed
through aught within
unstopped, expressed
Flowing through – unfiltered, clean
the pure images of what is seen
felt and throught – spoken and taught
named and nameless deeds been wrought
I wish a poet laureate to be
A clear, sparkling mirror
of reality!
I feel you air!
breath upon my face
I feel you air
in this sacred space
Kissed by time and
wind and grace
softly she whispers as she passes
my place
gentle her touch upon my cheek
as she goes
Thank you oh wind
for your blessing bestowed
Air opens space
clearing – gently or forcefully – our minds and souls – opening up places to experience joy, love, being, peace.
Beneath the sheets
and blankets warm
I sleep
Nestled and cocooned away
dreaming dreams of warmer days
the softening sheen of sun replays
a dazzled, colorful display
Yet in that soft deep warmness dwells
rest,
jewel tones swell in nighted splendor
through my haze of sleep-drenched
melted soul
In this mystical place
I have no body
to anchor me
I dwell with stars
have no fear
waft on warm and billowed dreams
along the shores of whatever seems
I Am Become Awareness
creeping softly o’er
this inner universe
I Am
One with
Pillowed Rest
Still and Quiet
in the Night
My chimes that blessed me
with their breath
are Frozen
Not a whisper of their song
sounds to guide me into sleep
Snow Falls
frozen drops
and Calls
for stillness in the deeps
What kinds of wondering
in our dreams
when Silence
cold and dark
surrounds our sleeping form?
How do we Breathe
when we sleep with These
dark frozen winter days
My chimes are stilled
the earth is chilled
life is filled
within an ice embrace
The moon ringed in arcs of lighted ice while Tungurahua erupted in fire as the winter solstice and the Mayan calendar collided in transmutational energies on December 21st. (See my facebook page for pictures of these events) As we begin this new year of our journey on earth let us walk with our hearts and inner beings open. This is a time of intensified spiritual activity and communication. Record your dreams and visions, hopes and intuitions. Meditate. Pray. Seek direction and guidance. Walk forth and listen to their
Voices
Heaven and Earth did speak
In mysteries where they meet
Ice and Fire conspire to point the way
How much louder must they plead
to touch our sensitivity?
While weather roils
And gunmen’s toils
bring all our hopes to spoil
Let fire burn and ice construe
A new, restructured, clearer view
Bringing rest to those who grieve
A path to those who cannot perceive,
Testing will and strength and belief
In fathomed tones far beneath
The fairyland we live in.
