6/15/10 In the Nursing Home:
Sadness ends, beginning bends
back upon itself-
Memory delves in mystic swirls-
the mind is a thing that twirls
in unexpected ways unnamed, unclaimed-
unmapped- a chart less sea of second guesses,
lost entrances,
a place to be we cannot see
when mind grows dim.
Sadness, loss
I cannot follow there,
that place you go to-
in there somewhere,
where your mind has bent
and sent you off.
I cannot be there with you now,
I wish I could, somehow.
Blessings, peace, wherever you are-
we’ll meet again at journey’s end-
sadness now, gladness then!
I Love you Mom, Amen.
Spirit Women – Hawks in flight
overhead in ever sight
symbols of eternity
women flying
ever free
Soar – Soar
and scream at me
Don’t you see? Don’t you see?
Earth’s hastening for eternity
Listen – Listen!
Spirit works in a straight line
listen — it is divine-
a gift – to hear
what those who are dear
say when they’ve “lost their mind”
….They leave us clues behind- – –
point to all that’s fine…
And truly in their minds.

Prayer to my Mother –
You there, sleeping in the bed –
What’s going on inside your head?
Where are you that we cannot see?
Oh ! Teach us! Teach us!
There to be
with you
in
marvelous fields of blue
all playful and true
Can I come there,
stay there, with you?
Help me! Help me!
To pass through
so I may be there
Oft, with you!
